Priors Green is located on the B1256, within the village of Takeley, Essex and less than 4 miles from Stansted Airport and junction 8 of the M11.
This new neighbourhood centre is located in the centre of Priors Green, a major new residential development in Takeley, Essex. Ultimately the development will consist of over 850 houses constructed by various residential developers including Countryside Plc, Barratts, David Wilson Homes, Bellway and Miller Homes.
Following acquisition of the consented site in March 2012, Takeley LLP commenced construction in July 2012, and obtained Practical Completion in April 2013. The retail parade consists of six lock-up retail units and a convenience store fronting onto an extensive, landscaped car park.
The convenience store was prelet to One Stop Stores – part of the Tesco Group, and one of the retail units was prelet to Barnados. Since Practical Completion, the other five units have been let to a beautician, hairdressers, fish and chip shop, financial services / estate agent and dentist. The retail units are situated immediately adjacent to the existing community centre and a new primary school in the heart of the development, and close to the existing Clever Cloggs children’s day nursery.
The investment was sold in August 2018 to Waypoint Local Retail Fund and Takeley LLP has no ongoing interest.
